Not to bump an old thread, but I saw this over the weekend and thought it was Beth from futures.io (formerly BMT).

Season 8: EZ Color Trading - Dragons' Den

It's her! I recall she was based in Canada.

wow, the "dragon's den" looks like the canadian equivalent of CNBC's "Shark Tank" where "entrepreneurs" pitch
their businesses for more venture capital from the "sharks", i.e. the show group of millionaires or billionaires who make a show of considering the "small fish" 's pitch.

tho it's the first time I've seen a trading "system" pitch ; not that I really watch "Shark Tank". I prefer the "Profit". At least they teach you some business(marketing?) and accounting(production) concepts slipped here and there..

Dragons Den is the original, first in UK, then Canada, when they brought it to the US they changed it to Shark Tank. I have seen every season of all of them.

Beth's story is one of the first I read when I came to futures.io (formerly BMT) and it was pretty funny when I saw this over the weekend, I was like what a second!

EDIT: Kevin and Robert on Shark Tank are also on Dragons Den Canada (But I believe both have left in the newest season or season to come.)

neat, I had no idea "Dragon's Den" was the precursor. EDIT: tturner86, thanks I kind of noticed that now & already about the "kooks".

I couldn't get the video to play, so I found it on youtube,
plus some articles:

Dragons Den Canada Season 8 Episode 13 FULL EPISODE - YouTube

(otoh: it was kinda funny more than one of the "dragons" said they "didn't want to know anything about futures trading" either.)

I love Dragons Den because they show all of the kooks, unlike Shark Tank.

I was gonna post the Youtube, thanks for getting it.

EDIT: example of successful retail trading venture lady would be "Supertrader Karen". She showed proof she brought her account from 100k to 150k, and somehow got investors from the big money into her fund. Which grew to 85million or something then 165 million from last I heard. tastytrade: OPTION TRADER makes $105MM PROFIT in the NDX, SPX & RUT - Her STORY Uncovered - YouTube

Yes I believe Karen was the one who did it with Options correct?

That's right. Mostly trading option strangles. And adjusting with naked short calls and short puts. Far more riskier than just directional 2 futures contracts trading. I suppose that's why she mentioned they have extra staff watching their positions every minute.

You underestimate yourself, it's amazing what you can accomplish when you don't spend writing almost 300 posts in 6 months. Given the fact that you were the last commenter in 5 of the posts on the vendor page alone suggests you are pretty accomplished with a treasure chest of wisdom, although there is the small chance that you just have a lot of free time and opinions.
