Australia has been a big flight zone for many of the FX traders worldwide.
Optimus FX (Division of Optimus Futures for Non-USA customers) has many contacts with Australian clearers.
Optimus Futures will now offer Spot FX to US guys, but we are still exploring which clearers we will work with.

In any case, we will see whether Australia will change their leverage policies, or whether other regulators will disable their citizens opening accounts there.

There is a substantial risk of loss in futures trading. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

Trading futures and options involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. You may lose more than your initial investment. All posts are opinions and do not claim to be facts. Please conduct your own due diligence. Use only Risk capital when trading Futures.

...meanwhile here in the 'States we're stuck with two lousy brokers and their crappy proprietary platforms because we can't be trusted to think for ourselves, and offshore accounts are not allowed.

---

Edit: @ mattz, that is great news! Do you know if Sierrachart will be supported?

I am not sure yet, but I will explore it with Sierrachart. You know there are always "issues" when you try to bring an API to another 3rd party application. Specifically for Sierrachart, they have certain standards that we hope our new partner would be able to satisfy. The guys we are talking to have their own native and free trading platform.

Kind regards,

..., or whether other regulators will disable their citizens opening accounts there.

It looks like the Party is soon over because IC Markets and FP Markets are heading EU:

https://www.financemagnates.com/forex/brokers/ic-markets-obtains-cysec-license-opens-cyprus-office/

and FXTM is heading Mauritius

I think they do this to not lose to many customer if the EU (ESMA) is not allowing to have offshore accounts!
