...charts in the morning only for referencing and labeling recent levels on a Dom and Heatmap...then charts hidden.

of course it can work. Just like trading with indicators can work. A lot of time in the saddle so to speak and some cost for tuition, in the best teacher ever... the market.

Indicators are very often a huge waste of time, so much so that one would think that they are only there to distract us from what is essential.
I have two ways of working (not finalized); the one that interests us here is the naked one. You have to determine the interesting areas to work on, and have the right timing. For this we can help ourselves with external elements such as News, Correlations, Market Internals, Indices, Fundamental, Market knowledge, and many other things...
Trading is a lot of research, the work begins here, you should focus on finding the right tools rather than the right indicators.
You can trade with a DOM only, if you know what you are looking for.
