I've heard some good things about this platform and its strategy component.

I'd like to hear from others who have first hand knowledge.

I am using the Navigator now for some years.
It is stable and easy to use. I use it specifically for visually testing a quick idea just to see if it makes sense or not.
Their inhouse data is superior, it is clean and accurate.
The drawdown is their programming language "tradesense".
It is limited when it comes to more sophisticated functions.

Can not be that hard, since Tradesense is fairly simple and limited on it´s language structure.
Post it and i´ll have a look. Should be a good exercise.

I've used Genesis for over three years and have grown to like it very much. The platform is excellent in rendering graphics and for having an extensive library of indicators. With practice it is easy to develop advanced and highly customer charts. The backtesting capability is excellent and great for non-coders. I've learned to develop and test hundreds of systems and test a variety of approaches using their tools. The tech support ranges from good to excellent most of the time. The alerting and filtering strategies is a plus.

Is it perfect, no. The data quality is suspect at times. And it is not cheap. But it is a powerful tool that can be customized to meet your needs without having to be a programmer.

What are your needs? Do you want a charting package only? A platform for charting and trading? For charting and backtesting for the "common man", the system is ideal.

I have not tried to integrate live trading with TradeNavigator.

Sorry to butt in, but I am looking at Trade Navigator as well. This is after 4 years of Tradestation. I already have a separate broker and execution platform. I am strictly a discretionary trader. Moving averages and ATR are really the only indicators I need.

I am looking for a good charting package and excellent data feed for the charts. I figured before I go forward with iqfeed and its various choices that I owe it to myself to check out Trade Navigator. The idea of data feed and platform joined at the hip appeals to me.

The qualities I am looking for are reliable consolidated data feed for tick charts, as well as intraday charts and daily charts. I hate it when Tradestation stalls or freezes during high volume times. So I am looking for a charting appliction that's 'lean and mean'. I would also like to have some control of how charts look (color, background, size of bars), and I would like a decent set of drawing tools that's intuitive to use.

And finally, I will probably only choose a package that has market replay with simulated trading feature, for practice. I understand that Trade Navigator has that.

I would appreciate any feedback that you can give me. The other options I am considering are Esignal charting and data feed; and iqfeed with Sierra, Inverstor RT, or Ensign. So any comparisons between Trade Navigator and those packages would be appreciated as well.

I forgot to mention that I trade E-Mini futures exclusively, for now.

I have Trade Navigator, and I find it to be a good platform, I also find their tech support to be better than most companies out there. I find their programming language not as good as NT, Esignal but its ok.
