While I was doing my daily prep I for some reason had it in my head that today was going to be a reversal day. Even the pre-market trading seemed to confirm that buyers were starting off the day strong. Boy was I wrong. With this idea in my mind, I took it upon my self to override my setup and go long while I was getting ready to take a 2-hour drive for work. No sooner did I impart my will into the market did it chew me up and spit me out. That's when I took a second to realize the massive mistake I made if I had zoomed out and read the market just for one second I would have recognized price was unable to make any reasonable pushes above VWAP and was making lower highs.

Well anyways here is the damage. Not too terrible given I have 3 pt stops and am trading 2 lots in the micro's but I still check

This evening I was continuing to explore overnight trading during the Asian session. Took a short on Yen in what I thought was a pullback. As soon as I did I finally looked at the higher time frame chart that was staring me in the face which was clearly showing that my pullback was, in all probability, just part of longer uptrend. Sure enough, it moved steadily against me and got me for 7 ticks (under $50). Not terrible in the overall scheme of things, but so dumb that I feel like slapping myself with a wet bar towel.
