The market is in a downtrend as the background shows. When the bulls take over the picture will slightly change and alert you, some parts moving just a bit up.

Please, let the picture completely (not slightly) change; don't let the picture change to the most probable next action or scene .

Wow...... I have to admit that you have dwarfed my coding efforts. It looks like you are a couple of hundred years ahead of me. Would you mind sharing your indicator?

But there is still room for some improvement. Your trend is not yet sustainable, a bit like the trend is your friend until the end, when it bends....

LOL,

If your post was a real indicator congrats. Then it is you that are way ahead of me

My post was just a Photoshop job (Gimp to be exact). Although, it does make you wish that @MultiCharts would allow a transparent background for the chart, to let your wallpaper shine through

Don't you think it would distract you from following the market?

This is the problem: If I follow my rules, trading is quite boring. So I need some distraction to prevent me from overtrading or falling asleep. What about adding a new feature to MultiCharts?

File -> New -> Distractor -> DOM (Distractor uses Outdoor Models)

Of course, I would prefer a real DOM.

For me, it is motivation to retire and go to that beach I admit it is an odd feature, but really if you look at the beginning of this thread it started with a sensible feature (gradient background) that just makes staring at these charts more pleasant. Only natural to take it to the next level

ok - there is a method called BackColorAll which will color the wholel panel... unfortunately it will only take standard colours so it would appear that arranging a linear gradient brush or image over the entire canvas requires knowledge a little beyond me at the moment.
NT support kindly sent me a link to some code that was supposed to help - but it didn't.

Any advanced programmers out there want to shine some light on this?
