Recently there is some talk about uptick rule in a down market. I think in all fairness there should be a 'downtick rule' in a up market so that buyers are only allowed to buy on a down tick.

Having said that the bubble created by Bernanke and perpetuated by Janet Yellen only provides a pseudo normalcy in an era of asset bubble. How long it can continue I don’t know but market just wants to hold it off as long as possible using super low interest rates to fuel it. Trump wants to perpetuate it so that he can get re-elected in that backdrop and he does not care what happens after he gets elected for another term as long as he gets re-elected in a bubble economy.

Okay its in green now. I don’t want to close it and might hold it long term. Let’s see how it goes. I can day trade around @2636 but just don’t feel like doing it.

Market close.

Futures are up 22 @2654 That account just might turn red in a heartbeat if futures held! However, I've said that I just want to see how it goes and hold it long term. Is this a situation where I need to be long term short and short term long? Only time will tell.

Lately there had been some talk about volatility. I think proper term would be large market swings. Volatility (VIX) has nothing to do with market swings, its just a number.

"Defying Trump, Fed hikes interest rates by a quarter-point"
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/defying-trump-fed-hikes-interest-rates-by-a-quarter-point-2018-12-19

Its good that Fed has raised interest rates by 0.25% and Fed or interest rate is no longer an issue. Now the market has to deal with all other factors that could affect it and now it’s on its own that is how well it could wither short and long term issues.

Also next year is election year and let's see if Trump can clean the swamp because he won election promising to clean it instead so far he contributed in the swamp.

Next week is crucial and let's see how it goes:

That's what Trump's cleaning the swamp as election promise is by shutting down the government. He also said it would be a very long one. How about until Jan 2020 after the election?

I just decided to initiate a long position of SP 2637. Let's go long. Let's re-group re-initiate with new position.

I wanted to re-group re-organize and add some more contracts but the system is not working. Can't exit and open with new contracts. I think PL is also showing wrong. This system is all wrong. Anyway, I wouda add more long contracts if I could. I wanted to do it several days back but its not working.

USD may start to rise as interest rate is higher than most other major currencies.

Futures are pointing to slightly downward. This could present a buying opportunity since fundamentally nothing has changed to derail this rally.
