They can't be obvious or exact to the archetype all the time.

This is where the value can hide. If the great majority gives up -saying that there is nothing (easy) here -aka free money on the street then "it doesn't work".

This is great because then those who work creatively can uncover the second layer which in overlying the primary obscures the primary.

The general consensus is that theoretical fractals are infinitely self-similar, iterated, and detailed mathematical constructs having fractal dimensions, of which many examples have been formulated and studied in great depth.[3][4][5] Fractals are not limited to geometric patterns, but can also describe processes in time.[2][6][17][18][19][20] Fractal patterns with various degrees of self-similarity have been rendered or studied in images, structures and sounds[21] and found in nature,[22][23][24][25][26] technology,[27][28][29][30] art,[31][32] architecture [33] and law.[34] Fractals are of particular relevance in the field of chaos theory, since the graphs of most chaotic processes are fractal.[35]

I watched an interesting video on Chaos theory the other night.

In the brief mention of markets they mentioned them as example of chaos and therefore (to them) unpredictable. But you see the contraction of this superficial and spurious conclusion

" most chaotic processes are fractal."

Been reading some threads here mentioning fractal this, fractal that....but what exactly is fractal trading? How is it applied to trading? The word itself is above my head, can somebody explain what this is with trading example....please

If I may offer a simple explanation....

A fractal to me is.....

Take any pattern you see in a small timeframe chart... 1 minute, 5 minute, hourly... it does not matter.

You will see a similar pattern or even as far as you can tell an almost exact pattern (good enough for your needs) replicated on a daily, weekly or monthly chart.

Regardless of timeframe these patterns repeat.

In fact, if i was to strip off the timeframe and just showed you the pattern you would not be able to tell me if it was minute based, hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.
