How about tradovate? I have a NT lifetime but the post earlier about needing 4 ticks to just make .11c seems nuts to me.

LOL! It is nuts if your a scalper. I use to trade with 2 people that made at least a grand every day. Their goal
was 3 ticks. I only pay .09 cents to Ninja but the Exchange, NFA, and routing fees is why I pay 1.89 a trade.

Ahh, so then tradovate is probably. 50c straight up plus the 1.89 in fees. Guess I'll stuck with NT then!

Yeah, I thought it would be less. I tried to scalp. I could end up with it saying I made 20 dollars for the day
in the micros only to get my statement the next day and be down 2 dollars as I traded way to much and
had 22 dollars going to trading fees.

Hey so i looked at the comission sheet for NT brokerage... are they charging you regualr emini comm's vs micro?

Looks like it should be .41c all in? Is that right?

Ok...found tradovates all in rates: .56 all in per side? And you can open open an acct there for $250 if you just want to feel it out.

Yea; you are right on the all-in for NT and Tradovate.

So, a micro w/Ninja lifetime license is .82cents per roundturn and for Tradovate w/no prepay for the year or monthly payment is $1.12 per roundturn.

My cost to trade the micros round trip is 1.89 so I need 4 ticks just to break even and this is with having the life time licence. If I trade the minis its 3.66 but one tick covers this as one tick is 5 dollars. So you do get a better deal with
trading the minis.
4 ticks in the micros. Profit = .11 cents.
1 tick in the minis Profit = 1.34

So for me to make 10 dollars I would need a 24 tick run in the micro, but in the mini I only need 3 ticks and would
still make more than the micro making 24 ticks. So for me I'm trading the micros just till I get confident to switch
to the minis. They are fun, your doing live trading, and you don't blowup an account real fast.

According to what I see, for NT the 1.89 is the per side rate for the eminis, with a lifetime license. That's 3.78 per round turn. For leased, non-lifetime license the per-side is 2.19, RT is 4.38. So in the $4 range, a little high I think for non-lifetime but not really out of line.

The lifetime NT rate for micro eminis is .41 per side, or .82 round turn, all in. For non-lifetime, it's .51 per side, or 1.02 round turn.

These look about like what most brokers seem to have, and are reasonably compatible with scalping, although it is higher on a percentage basis than the eminis.

Bob.

--------------

Edit: I think this is right. Somebody who trades with NT should check me. I'm pretty sure these are per side numbers. I don't think any broker is offering 2.00 or sub-2.00 round turn all in fees for ES.

It's hard to figure out what brokers are pitching to you sometimes.

Bob.

I will post my statement tomorrow of what I trade today.
So how many ticks do you have to get in order to turn a scalp into a day trade?

So, I just had a live chat with tradovate...it's $1.12 Roundtrip per 1 contract of a Micro emini.

Might throw $250 at it today and I may starta Journal just to document.

Hey just wanted to say thanks for opening my eyes to getting out of the combine cycle. I had been resigned to just keep grinding 'till I got it right...but the more I think of it, even the 2 times I was funded 1 with TST and 1 with Oneup...they made it SO hard to stay funded. It's already hard enough to be a profitable trader. I'm going to join you on your quest to trade a Micro Acct up to $5K.

Lets get it.

So far so good. Today was a crazy pop thanks to weekend bullish expectations from the G20 meeting and tariff resolution.

But "too far - too fast" was alive and well today as I saw the gap screaming to be filled.

I took two trades on the NQ:

So assuming $1 per RT cost (for simplicity) I got $17.50 today.
