I think the built-in version is the same as normal Multicharts but already people are releasing free indicators that do the job. Have a look at this

Just read on the MultiCharts blog that MC.net...
Just read on the MultiCharts blog that MC.net will support GDI+ drawing on the chart. The example they showed was a DOM running embedded within the chart with the capability to add trade buttons.

If Multicharts can pull this off then Ninjatrader is in big trouble. NT's one advantage, how versatile C# can be, is gone and NT just cannot compare...
