I do not know this, but it could be that Iron Ore Futures are deliverable contact only like some contacts on the LME.

Yes, we work with large FCMs like ADM who have branches worldwide and licenses on different exchnages, but like you said it is not all open to US customers. There are a lot of Futures traded...

Not sure how the Chinese markets. CME has no Vol.
Not too many (if at all) have exchanger memberships on Dalin.
Clearing may be expensive.
