This does not make sense in case the spread is very wide. This will happen for very thinly traded options, just before and after important reports, and - for some options - during overnight sessions....

Coffee, Cocoa, Sugar, and Cotton are tradable for longterm traders in my opinion, although fills are not as good as in the ES. I stay away from Lumber and Orange Juice.
