You're right, I see that card on Amazon for $222 -- apparently other versions
of the same card sell with a different mix of adapters, which seems to be
reflected in the cost.

I have that video card -- it supports 6 Mini-DisplayPorts, not the same thing as regular size DisplayPort. Amazon price is $350...
