Clue (yet untested) into this issue
I notice that when I have clicked on something in the forum, a new window is opened... when I return to that window, the chat is frozen.. but it continues in the now-current window... I just noticed...

chat freezing persists
Thanks for the suggestion, max... it isn't just me who is experiencing this problem though, including some with FF... frankly learning a new ancillary application would be a big distraction for me...

Chat freezing
Mike, I don't think that my chat problems are due to your messing with the site at any given time... also there are many of us experiencing this problem... and it is occuring randomly across time......
