I checked Sierra Chart supporting brokers - Supported Data and Trading Services - Sierra Chart (http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/data.php) and I can't identify any DDT broker.

Solved
1. managed to contact Transact Tech support - usually they tell me to call my broker, but I told them my broker isn't concerned, so tech support looked at my files

Transact update seems to have fixed it
Transact support released ZanerDayTrader V5.4.1 and forced all traders to update. this seems to have solved my freeze problem. Still holding my breath, but not every day like it was before. ...
