you don't need a custom study for this, the BollingerBandSMA study built-in with ToS should give you what you need. add the study to your chart, then change the price type to Open or Close..etc .....

But you're not "resetting" the count now ... You are "resuming" the count from where you stopped. That's a different approach to what I thought we wanted to do...

i gave this a shot as promised.. in ToS i couldn't show the count on the CCI histogram .. the 1,2,3 counters can only be shown on the price (top) chart as far as i could twist the script...
