ok i've managed to get the standalone app...
ok i've managed to get the standalone app working. As suspected I just need the edemo password which I managed to find with a bit of googling. It is beyond me why IB doesn't provide this information...

IB TWS on Linux
Is anyone here using TWS on Linux? Im just trying to use the demo (I haven't yet opened an account with them) and am not having much luck.
Ultimately I will be trading with IB using their API, so...
