Here's another example using $ADD (advance/decline):
If $ADD>0 there is a 65% probability that SPX will close higher than its open and $ADD<0 indicates a 60% probability that SPX will close lower...

If the chances of the price breaking out to either side is X% or Y% was not really a factor...
