My machine is fast, but other programs are running. (Core2 Quad, 2.4 GHz, 8 GB mem.) Possibly, stopping other programs would free up mem for file caching.

I run MultiCharts with eSignal data on Win7x64. Typically there are one or two workspaces with two symbols each, on a variety of timeframes....
