One can enter the trade any time and many prefer the beginning of the week to get a better read on macro issues. The duration may be as short as a scalp, too

The trend ribbon = the MACD Zero Line so one might not need both.
ETA: Above or Below the 200 WMA in addition to all of the above for Puts/Calls is another great indicator.
