and then submit the limit order to that time frame so it will last 30 minutes before being canceled or etc.

What are you placing the limit at? GetCurrentAsk() and GetCurrentBid() ? Or Close[0] ?

For everything but CL, I use market orders. For CL I use GetCurrentxx() and even then often get left in...

I am guessing it compares the close to the open, high and low of the day and then takes some action. Might also be based on a gap.
