That is true, but the problem you posed also does...

That is true, but the problem you posed also does not represent the real volume since the direction changes with a tick in the opposite direction regardless of the volume associated with that tick.

See if the following will work for you:

Set up point and figure chart with the following settings:

Box Size = .01
Reversal = 1
Interval= using 1 tick

With those settings I think you will...
