Power outages while trading...
The simple answer: Always place the stop order (before/during/immediately) after placing the entry trade.
Check with your Broker to be sure, but many FCM's these days will "House" the order on...

I've been holding off on downloading NT8 just long enough for them to identify and fix the inevitable bugs that exist in every software upgrade. It looks much improved, so I'll probably back my NT7...
