2019 I had a similar roller-coaster ride. 65k to 95k, back down to 35k.
Got this back to 65k last year, and now routinely wire out profits and keep the trading account about the same size....

John Carter's "Mastering the Trade" book has a chapter on the 3:52 trade. Interesting concepts, basically looking to fade traders that missed the potential revearsal at 3:30 into the close.

Experiment with a few different time frames if you get a chance.
1 minute charts still seem too fast for me, 5-30 minutes slow things down some, bigger moves.

One thing that has helped my discipline in planning trades has been using an OCO, Order Cancel Order bracket, tied to my entry order. Hard stops definitely seem to be magents to get hit if too...

Use a limit order for your 1 lot and you will not have any slippage.
You may not get filled but this is the trade-off you are making, the trade will take place at the limit price only.
