i would agree with the above poster that ags have...

i would agree with the above poster that ags have strong trending properties but would assert that these are ephemeral. ags are characteristically one of the more cyclical asset classes available...

i would suggest looking at Gold in "currency-neutral" terms, ie. averaged against the majors (it's not perfect, but I use an equal weight of USD, EUR, JPY, GBP - no more CHF as it is now pegged..). ...
