I'm using NT V7.0.1000.4 trading the TF and 6E and learned I didn't have real time data which I should have any moment now. Yet I'm still confused as follows...
Again, I'm using the more accurate IQFeed for my chart data and the less accurate Zenfire data only to register my trades to my account. My concern is any discrepency between the 2 data feeds (as much as 10 ticks) will directly effect the actual outcome of each trade as registered to my trade account, right??? In otherwords it would be nice if each trade that registers to my trade account would be a direct reflection of the more accurate IQFeed not Zenfire. If this is the case it would seem to defeat the case of using the more reliable IQfeed data and therefore I must compromise with less reliable data, right? Also, I can only assume this would effect for example what may or may not appear to be divergence on my charts and that's huge!
Please advise, thx! Todd
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
The more accurate datafeed, in this case IQFeed, should be the closest to the time and sales of the electronic trading group, for instance if you trade the ES you should check the time and sales here E-mini S&P 500 and compare it with your time and sales, if you make a trade and you notice a big discrepency (consider slippage, and latency) you should report it to your broker.
I think that the difference between IQ feed and Zenfire will only show as delay of a few milliseconds or maybe some high speed ticks missing, which should be barely visible for the eye.
If there is a difference of 10 ticks, something is dead-wrong, and you need to find out what it is.
Below is the dialogue w NT that has resolved the issue and hopefully w help others re such concerns...

Hello Todd,
I'm not quite sure what you are asking - to clarify the issue is from the delayed data from IQFeed which is causing the 10 tick discrepancy and you should not see this discrepancy once your real-time subscription is enabled.
Can you please clarify?
Sincerely,

Well, you appear to be correct as my real time data thru IQFeed is now active and matches exactly what I see on my DOM. I can only assume then that my entries and exits will register to my trade account as per the IQFeed data regardless of any discrepency with Zenfire? Of course the only way to be sure is to make a live trade thus the reason I thought I'd ask you first. Thx! Todd

Hi Todd,
Yes, you understand correctly.
If you you placed on order 1342.25 based on your IQFeed, you should see your average entry price reported by the broker as 1342.25.
Please let me know if you need further clarification.
Sincerely,
Matthew Hendricks
