I have an account with MB Trading and tried to get NT7 and MBT working together. I found this mix to be sluggish with the charts taking too much time to change and update. Also if you use range bars like I do the MBT data feed is not up to the job. So all in all I was not that impressed but maybe the fault was on my end?
After doing some detective work (LOL) Interactive Brokers seemed to be the best solution. Though their smallest lots size is $25,000.
A guy called Forexbird use the the NT / IB mix and he scalps on a 3 range timeframe with the eur/usd and he is very happy from what I can glean reading some of his historical posts. Hope this help......
But you have to like Russian roulette.
Everything can be coded in C#, but many things are not documented and not supported by NinjaTrader, which means the developer has to be very very cautious with what he's doing, and avoid making what we use to call in French an "usine à gaz" (a gas plant).
A tool like that is just too risky to be used with real money, a very bad R/R ratio here, imho.
If you want to use NinjaTrader for Forex, use IB, MBT, or any other good supported broker.
If you want to use DukasCopy, use Duka's tools, or any other good software, like the free MultiCharts DT.
I use MBT with NT7. Trade EurUsd. I also use 3 range bars and NT has had a bunch of problems with tick data which prevented the range bars from displaying properly. But seems to be working fine now.
Anyway, if you have the option to record and store/record data turned on in NT, try turning it off. That has sped things up for me quite a bit.
