I will like to keep one of my account alive to use it for charting - (ZenFire/NT) while using another account for trades but I do not want to park my cash there.

Is it possible for me to just have a couple of hundred dollars in the account to keep it active and take out the rest of the fund?

Do most IB require a minimum balance to keep it alive?

I'm not sure, but that may depend on your broker. My broker has a $1500.00 minimum to keep my account active. On the other hand why don't you just have your broker renew a sim account for you when it expires? Mine does for me, so I have a live account and a sim account on two separate PC's.

Thanks for suggesting but the other account is with another broker. The only reason why I'm keeping the other account is to have access to ZF/NT for the charts which the broker I am using to trade don't provide.

Check with your broker because although you may be entitled to the data with an active account you may be charged a service fee every month if the balance is below $500 (Global futures) . Im pretty sure that NT7 has free emini data for ES and some other CME stuff , check with them .

Are you with Mirus Futures or some other brokers that use zenfire?
