Can I open two programs, one for routing orders (Ninja), and one for charting (Investor RT), and have both use the same data feed (IQFeed)?
The reason I want to do this is that I'm going to use IQFeed for the data feed for charting, but also want to get CME fees waived. In order to do this, in my understanding, IQFeed must be used as the feed for order routing. Maybe this is not correct, but I think so.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Yes, one nice thing about the IQFeed client is its centralized. I'm running Sierra and MultiCharts off it right now, for instance. You could run Investor RT and Ninja and MC, etc, from one instance of IQFeed client.
However, I do remember NT had some errors because it would try to login to IQFeed even though I already was logged in. If I remember right, back when I used NT, I had to load NT first then the other platforms second.
Is the Data Feed through the IQ Feed much quicker than the fees through our existing futures brokers like Velocity or Transact? Curious as IQ seems to be very popular but I wasn't sure if this was more of a stock thing than futures. Thanks.
