Hello,

I'm new french trader on this forum and happy to be there!
Big Mike does a great work!

I'm planning to buy MultiCharts soon so I need to choose a data feed.
The problem is... I only trade stocks on the french market (Euronext Paris).
and it seems there is very little feeds for this market...

So does anyone knows a broker or a data provider for this market?!
That would be nice! (I cannot pay more thant 100$/month).

I just need End-Of-Day quotes (H/L/O/C/V) of the Euronext stocks (I do not need realtime quotes).
I have seen IB has an offer. But I have heard (on this forum), that IB is horrible, there is a lot of errors in their feeds.
Is this the case with EOD quotes? Or can I use it without problems ?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Laurent

Thanks MetalTrade for your answer,

What makes me hesitate... is a previous post of Big Mike:

Quoting
IB has terrible backfill (historical data) and also filters tick data. Some don't mind, others mind a bunch. It will just depend on your needs and trading style.

and I want to use this feed to perform backtests on EOD quotes of french stock on the euronext market. ^^
If the EOD quotes have a lot of errors, that's not good for me

I think if you are doing any backtesting, you should really use IQfeed. Have you checked to see if they offer your markets? I imagine they do.

Mike

I assume the EOD data from IB should be right, think @Fat Tails can spend some words about this.
There also yahoo quote that provides EOD data for free, but dont know how it is.
Think eSignal has the Euronext, but it wil cost a lot and think is wasted for only one market EOD data.

Take your Pips, go out and Live.

Thanks a lot for your answer LukeGeniol,
I hope Fat tails will answer there, or I will PM him!

Yahoo quotes for the euronext is not good enough for me.
It seems some quotes of the euronext appears D+1 or D+2.

Google Finance seems ok. Maybe I will try it before using IB or eSignal!
Has anyone tried it on MultiCharts?

As you have said, eSignal has the Euronext but it costs a lot every month, just for EOD data. By the way, is the eSignal data correct?

Thanks a lot for all your answer and experience!

I presume it is, and u can look at the eSignal OnDemand, low price, if can do for u, eSignal OnDemand: All the power of eSignal in an affordable delayed / intraday charting package plus real-time, streaming versions for Forex and mini futures traders.

Take your Pips, go out and Live.

Don't use EOD data from IB for the following reasons.

(1) The data is second class. Shows the last instead of the settlement price (thiis for futures).

(2) If you use NinjaTrader some data will not be displayed correctly, but it is a mess (4 days per week, or Sunday bars, etc. )

(3) NinjaTrader 7.0 comes with free Kinetick EOD data, which is excellent. You can first-connect to Kinetick EOD and second-connect to IB. When doing this NinjaTrader takes EOD data from Kinetick and intraday data from Interactive Brokers. Works without problems.

Edit: Kinetick does not work for European stocks.

However, I have not tested IB data for stocks. Some years ago I have used the free EOD quotes of ProRealTime and Visual Chart. I liked Visual Chart then, but when they switched to version 5.0, it was such a disaster that I scrapped it and never touched it again. Still have my ProRealTime access.
