For trading Spot FX we need:
1. Data Feed.
2. News.
3. Execution Pole.
4. Broker.
5. Charting and plus ... software.
6. Execution software.
With different mixtures.
ad 1. MorningStar (TenFore) is pure Data Feed.
ad 2. Market News Internationl (Bullet) is pure news.
ad 3. EBS, Reuters FX, Hotspot FX, FXall, Currenex, ... are Data Feed, Execution Pole and Execution Platform.
Enter ticket is from $2,500 (Currenex) to $ 250,000 (EBS).
ad 4. Few brokers (there are not a lot of utilisables):
Advantage Futures - EBS, Hotspot FX.
Dorman FX - Currenex on CX Application Platform. Any experience with it?
LCG - Currenex, FXall, EBS.
Marex - idem.
Some others with ECN execution:
Dukascopy - JClient/JForex.
Interactive Brokers - TWS.
MBT - MB Navigator.
ad 5. Some softwares:
- Ninja Trader functions with MBT for charting and execution without issues.
- MultiCharts functions in theory with MorningStar, Ducascopy, MBT, Interactive Brokers.
I have never succeeded to do that. Any experience with it? Are there any way to connect it to Currenex?
- Power Trader (PT MultiStation) connects to Ducascopy without issues, surely to MBT and IB.
In theory to Currenex and Hotspot. I have never succeeded to do that. Any experience with it?
Others possibilities? Please we do not talk MetaTrader!
ad 6. Any experience with TT X-Trader, CQG, ... for Spot FX execution?

Voilà!

My questions?
Are you any experience with Dorman FX Currenex on CX?
Are you any experience with MultiCharts connections to Duka and MBT?
Are there may be an official/unofficial way to connect MultiCharts to Currenex?
Are you succeed to connect Power Trader (PT MultiStation) to Currenex or/and Hotspot?
Are you any experience with TT X-Trader or CQG Trader for Spot FX trading?
And many others.

Some answers:

NinjaTrader and MultiCharts have primarily been developped as retail platforms for the stock and futures markets. They can also be used to connect to some of the FOREX ECNs.

NinjaTrader:

- supports FOREX IDEALPRO of Interactive Brokers
- supports GAIN FOREX
- does not support DukasCopy
- does not support Currenex, you can use a streamer to connect the Currenex data feed to NinjaTrader Scalp A Lot.com > [AUTOLINK]Ninjatrader[/AUTOLINK] Currenex Streamer (PRET edition) (not tested)

Multicharts(MC), MultiCharts Forex (MCFX):

- supports Dukascopy
- supports Interactive Brokers
- supports FXCM
- does not support Currenex

Just open some demo accounts and find out what you like. You can also trade currency futures, you are on a regulated marketplace - unlike FOREX - so the transparency is better.

Bonjour MetalTrade.
Thank you Fat Tail.
The software developed for the stock and futures market are often better than those developed for Forex only.
So this forum is very interesting for forex trader too.
I use NinjaTrader with MBT and it functions very well but MultiCharts is may be more interesting for charting. I will try it on TenFore Feed for charting only (I do not see other solutions now).
Forex is very specific. The major risk is the broker and his price manipulation. A choice of the mixture broker - platform is very important. If not the broker problem we could trade with MetaTrader, but NinjaTrader is better for me.
I am looking always for the better solutions. For the execution now. TT X-Trater is very interesting and CQG Trader too. Are anybody trade Forex with these platforms?
I was curious if there were forex traders on this forum.

Hello,

x-trader only few brokers allow to trade forex on it and those who do have higher capital requirement For example
advantage futures allow Xtrader for trading forex but just only with Ebs and there requirements are high. The best Brokers for trading smaller account have to be Mbt Interactive ducas ... Cqg supports fxall for forex but i still havent came across a broker providing that solution .. Hope that helps..

Best Regards
Jinhar

For Forex The best datafeed has to be esignal .. It comes on the expensive range but It has most of the Brokers data feed in it so if u are like me .. u can have two different ecn datafeeds at one time Other then that i would suggest use data feeds of the broker u are trading with as thats the best data to trade on specially for scalpers because few pips difference will make a lotta difference at the end of the day and for that again esignal is wonderful as it has data from mbt pfg Fxcm etc etc list goes on .. If u are using fxcm then there are other data feed options which will be cheaper but in the end considering all this and specially the most imp thing to have data from ur broker Esignal is the best out there .. u cant go wrong with it .. !!! Hope that helps ..

Best Regards
Jinhar
