We now have the capability to provide Continuum over NinjaTrader for demos and real live trading.
As we always do, our group took our time to test and understand the infrastructure of CQG/Continuum so we can support the infrastructure we provide.
Thank you,
Matt

Well, I finally bit the bullet and started the process of changing brokers. After evaluating MANY of them, I elected to go with Optimus for a couple of main reasons; their superb customer service and very competitive rates. And while I realize that no broker is perfect, it's a real challenge to find problems with Optimus; which the same can't be said for many of the other firms.

My experience, like many have said before, was better than expected. When I reached out to Matt, he was quick to respond and answered all of my questions. He shared Optimus's philosophical stance as a firm towards its clients and as my research has indicated, they aren't simply making empty statements.

Also, hats off to Jessica at Optimus as she answered numerous additional questions as I setup and funded my account!

To Matt, Jessica, and all others at Optimus, THANKS!

Matt, are there any future plans to make deposits and withdrawals a little easier? Check or wire in this day and age is a little bit of a pain. I'm not sure if that's something that you guys can even control or if that's strictly on Vision's end.

You do have the ability to send funds out via an ACH. Incoming only wire and check at this point.
I hope this helps.

CQG is data provider and a software provider for trading, and as such does not offer clearing directly through it.
Those who are clearing members offer access via software/platform directly to the exchanges.
We currently use VFM to offer CQG services to our customers.

I hope this adds clarification and answers your question.

Hi Matt,

Just a few questions regarding trading Eurex (specifically Bund) using NT and continuum through you guys.

Are there any costs involved with the continuum data feed?
Does Continuum do server or client OCO?
If using Continuum does NT provide the historical data? If not do I need a separate data feed?
Is it possible to use your android app with an NT/Continuum setup (I've only seen references to it working with Rythmic)
What market depth does Continuum provide on Bund and ZN? 5 a side? 10 a side?
What are your typical margins for Bund, ZN and Stoxx?
Is continuum the only way to trade Eurex through you guys?

Thanks in advance

Hello Treggs!

I have answered your questions below:
  1. The cost for the Continuum connection is $10/month (plus applicable exchange data fees, such as CME or Eurex fees).
  2. Continuum supports server side OCO.
  3. Continuum does include historical data.
  4. OTG Mobile Trader is Rithmic only at this time.
  5. Continuum should provide 20 levels of Market Depth for Eurex products and 10 levels for the ZN, however, keep in mind that the standard NinjaTrader SuperDOM is limited to 5 levels of Market Depth. If you require more than 5 levels of Market Depth within NinjaTrader, you may want to look into our 9G Trading DOM which would be able to offer the full 20 levels for Eurex and full 10 for ZN from your connection within NinjaTrader.
  6. We can provide 20% of the initial margin, so for ZN - $286, Bund - €286, Stoxx - €473.
  7. Correct, Continuum is our only execution avenue for Eurex products at this time.

Please feel free to PM me anytime if you have any further questions.

John
