Hey Guys,

I'm trading right now with Velocity Futures. They are very accommodating in helping you with whatever issue you have. They're reliable and fast as well. I actually don't have much to complain about.

They're also flexible, meaning that you can negotiate with them. Speaking of commissions.

Why am I writing this? I saw the webinar that Mike arranged. The most interesting thing for me is their ZenFire - Ninja connection. So I thought, maybe we can give this a chance!

I called Tony, and that guy was sooooo stiff and so "We're the best, if you want us it's ok, if you don't that's ok too"! He never said that but that's the impression he gave me!

He made me feel like I was begging him to take me as their client! I asked if he could give me a better commission, and NO. "We give every trader the same commissions". He had a very dominant and arrogant attitude!

And one thing that can really make me frustrated is when the little guys is not respected. I mean honestly man! We kiss our bankers behinds, when they should kiss ours instead. Without our money they wouldn't exist.

I would really appreciate all the help I can get on this one. Both from the guys with negative experiences and positive as well!

Should my picture of Mirus Future be based on my phone conversation with Tony, or are they really living up to what they're saying (meaning what he said in the webinar) ?!

We all struggle to make tomorrow look like yesterday!
Get rid of your past and let the future unfold from the now.
Past performance is not indicative of future results.
/George

Funny, Tony was totally the opposite when I dealt with him. Very helpful.

I left my previous brokers because the executions were off by enough pips that it made a difference to me. With Mirus and Zen-Fire I see what I need and trust them. I have attached their sheet and a link to commissions. I have posted my trades in The Truth [AUTOLINK]Ninja Trader[/AUTOLINK] Thread.

Standard Rates | Mirus Futures

My Broker answers questions fast and get me to someone who know the answer when he does not. I run NT7 on 2 computers and trades show up on both. I can't be any happier with Mirus. [email protected]

The short answer would be no (i.e. i don't see your experience as typical). I found Mirus staff very helpful all the way so far. As far as customer rep snottiness goes, I see no reason to worry.

BUT (there is always one) there are some tech issues w/ their data feed which messes up vol analysis. I won't go deeper into that, check out Luke's data feed thread under featured articles if this affects your trading style.

Another recent zenfire feed related observation is that it was about 20 ES points off my two other data feeds during the flash crash in early May, but that doesn't come around very often on the other hand. I don't know if it had impact on execution since I wasn't trading my Mirus account that day.

George,

Tony has always been helpful to me - both in setting up my account with RCG and answering ongoing concerns and questions. My experience with Mirus has been very positive. I am trading live with NT 7 B 15.

I think no one broker feed is accurate for volume analysis, so this is not a issue. Zen-Fire is fast also in high volatility and is better than almost others data that sometimes freezes. Don't know about the 20 points off you experienced and what others feeds you are referring are, but if u saw others report big problem with other data feeds during that flash crach
I think Zen-Fire and Mirus Futures worked fine, I never had a big problem.
Maybe the commision policy is not the best but is however good, this depend also on trading style.
BTW I can raccomend Mirus Zen-Fire.

Luke.

P.s. I am switching broker only beacuse I increased the n. of traded contracts and i can find better commission plan for my trading style.

Take your Pips, go out and Live.
Luke.

I've always dealt with Sean Reilley at Mirus and have nothing but good to say. Ultimately, the commissions were the only reason I chose to go with a different broker... (I'm $1 cheaper per RT). As a scalper, that's a big deal.
Be aware, that the ZenFire feed is very expensive. That's the reason for the higher costs.
I would like to see them be a little more flexible with their commissions and I might consider switching. My current broker allows extreme flexibility in platforms and the associated costs. It allows you to see where your pennies are going per execution.
If you're trading for anything more than just a couple points where the commissions have less impact, I wouldn't hesitate to go with Mirus.

I've found Byron to be pretty responsive as well. They offer volume discounts, but I've never tried to negotiate a lower commission.
