I was learning to trade futures using ninjatrader but after the trial ended they won't allow me to open another demo account and it's not worth spending the money to buy it until I'm ready to go live.
Can someone recommend a broker and platform that allows demo accounts for learning?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
The platform is free to use so there is no need to purchase it before going live.
Sounds like you are mixing the cost of the platform with the cost of a live data feed, which is needed to watch market movement in real time. Most platform providers allow a limited trial because of that cost.
The cost in itself is relatively low, you are looking at 15 USD per month for all the CME exchange products (includes most popular futures asset classes), although this cost would need to be paid normally by opening up a brokerage account.
You don't have to purchase the software, you can use the free one you are currently using with a funded brokerage account. Reach back out to the sales person you were speaking with for the details.
