you could try Sierra Chart with CTS as data feed. Perhaps you find the charting and the DOM from SC better.

+1 this @Frank R, T4 is not bad but it has nowhere near the capabilities of Sierra.

@Malvolio, @josh thanks responding.

I recently learned of this capability, and have started to look into it. I have used Sierra before, but never for execution, just charting... and this was before I used T4. Their DOM did not seem that impressive to me at the time. Does it (the dom) have the capability to do the things I need? This might be a weird question, but how 'small' can you make each DOM? Also, does the capability hinge on my FCM allowing Sierra in some way?

Thanks guys.

Sierra's DOM has come leaps and bounds in a short period of time:

You can make each one as small or large as you like, if I'm understanding you correctly. You can change the price scale of course too.

@josh

Thanks! Yeah that does look a lot better than I remember it. What are the options for the movement of the market on the ladder? Can you make the ladder stationary and have the market move within the ladder, and yet still scroll around and add bids or offers above/below where the prices extend to on the ladder? Not sure if I am explaining this right, but open up a T4 ladder and choose "auto recentered". I want that, but the ability to scroll the ladder and move it on my own. Right now I have to use "smooth" in T4 and I am not a huge fan of it.

I'd like to make my ladders more compact that this. Its about 2.5x4.5 in reality. When I had TT I could make them smaller.

Yes, you can do all that. You click the price column and drag it to scroll, or use your mouse wheel. Ctrl+click and drag will change the scale. Or vice-versa as an option too.

So is there a downside to this setup? Is there any communication latency between the programs?

Just to update. Still using CTS T4. For the money I think they have a decent product, but I have to be honest, I find it to be rough around the edges in some regards, and it does get on my nerves.

A few examples:
-Cant change charts to EST. I mean, come on.
-Theres a remove all studies button on the top of the charts. You cant disable this. I have, at least 3-4 times, hit this button by mistake and deleted charts that have *a lot* of support/resistance levels I use.
-Cant make custom spreads. Only exchange traded spreads are available.
-When the dom is in 'centered' mode, where the price moves around in it and the ladder doesnt move, but you cant scroll the ladder. AKA I cant move the ladder to put a stop above or below whats view-able on the ladder. This really sucks.
-You cant compress the ladders. AKA I cant view CL at 90.00, 90.02, 90.04, 90.06, etc. This also pisses me off.

For now I am dealing with these issues, but I am considering going back to TT. Unfortunately that means I need to get a charting service and pay exchange fees again, so its an expensive proposition.

Frank, this is Brian from CTS. Let me anwsers your questions.
- we understand your point reagrding EST and will look into it
- We realize this can bre a danderous button so we are adding a confirmantion pop up
- We are in the finalstages of developing our auto spreader which will allow you to create custom spreads.
- We created multiple options for the ladder. Centered, Scrollong, Auto centered and Depth. Please let me know if any of these other options work for you
- We have heard thsi as well, I will follow up again with my progammers

No latency, changes are reflected instantly. There are a few quirks, like the other day I tested the mobile interface and pulled an order there, and the order was pulled in Sierra but the child orders attached to it were not cancelled. But these are kind of one-off kinds of things, and Sierra is supposed to be going through FIX or something like that soon anyway, so these types of things may work themselves out.

An Autospreader would be great, and I'd love one. My comment regarding just charting them, not an actual DOM. Do you guys have an ETA on the autospreader? Will it be an additional cost?

The AutoCentered option for the ladder would be what I am looking for, if I could scroll it. The fact I cant scroll it makes it very tough to use. If I remember correctly, TT may have a patent standing in your way of this.

Thanks for the response.

In my case I do have a latency between Sierra and the CTS DOM. I made a screen shot, the next time I will record this and make a video. Iīm wondering why you donīt have this problem.

Best regards
