Continuum Unavailable on Weekends - Need a New Data Provider
Continuum is rarely available on weekends when I need perform back testing and analysis.
Has anyone used Kinetic or Rithmic with NinjaTrader?
If so, are they usually available on weekends?
Why don't you record live data and use that for back testing
historical data is rarely up to the level of live
and you don't have the bid/ask volume as it changes
only on the trades

DTN's IQFEED, which Kinetick is a white label of, is always available every day at any hour. I have never not had it whenever I wanted it. I stay connected to it with NT8 most weeks 24/6 save for a reboot once a day.
The nice feature about IQFEED over Kinetick is you can connect to it many times from the same machine. I always connect NT8 and PriceSquawk standalone and sometimes NT7 as well. If you don't need to connect to more than just Ninja Kinetick would be fine. IQFEED has a great abundance of market internals as well.

There are however a few shortcomings, one of them is the difference between
live tick data : trade, trade vol, bid, bid vol, bid time, ask, ask vol, ask time
historic data: trade, trade vol, bid, ask (no bid vol / ask vol, bid time, ask time
I use rithmic with sierra and it works fine. Although sierra records the tick data on my computer. I'm guessing kinetic is expensive because you can access the tick data from their servers???
