Any broker recomendations for stocks?

Hello i know this is futures.io, but im sure some people here also invest in stocks as well. I currently trade a combine with TST, but my mother wanted me to open a small account 3000~$ for her for stocks. Does nyone have any recommendations for me to look into. We want decent commission and reliability. Are the popular brokers loke TD and scottrade any good? Thanks everyone

NinjaTrader will support Interactive Brokers and TD Ameritrade.

I would recommend Interactive Broker or Trade Station. IB charting is not very good, so you will probably want a separate charting package.

The solution to trade via IB with a small account is to open an account through one of their introducing brokers-

This means you would have full access to TWS and essentially be treated just like a typical IB client. However, there will be a small markup in commissions, BUT, it's still going to work out MUCH cheaper than any of the typical retail brokers.

I can recommend captrader.com- https://www.captrader.com/en/account/conditions/

It looks like their minimum deposit is currently 2000 USD.

-I have several IB accounts, one of them is through Captrader.

FYI you can't really do much with 3k, accept pay for data, and don't forget about the pattern day trader rule- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pattern_day_trader

-It's unlikely you will slowly grow an account from 3k speculating on stocks
-TWS is good for execution, it's no good for charting. Use Ninja Trader, TWS will connect into it.
-Captrader or other introducing brokers are not smaller companies of IB, they are like the middleman. Please do some research here.
