I would not recommend it. But, if you really wanted too then you could use the IB for execute and use a third-party data provider like IQFEED for the data.

Hi all. Forgive me my english isn't very well. Is it possible to trade futures with interactive brokers without losing money? I mean, IB doesn't have realtime data but they are using snapshot data. Is this a handicap? If you trade for een longer term i think it really doesn't matter but what if you will scalping or something? Are there any succesfull traders here who are using only interactive brokers? Thanks!

Data is not the reason one chooses Interactive Brokers IMHO.

Many other reason for sure. I consider my cash nice and secure with them best in the industry. That’s one reason. 10 ms latency is another.

As mentioned, see if you can get data from IQFEED.

You can achieve the same safety with companies like ADM, who are by far in my opinion larger than IB, and have data feeds like CQG, Rithmic, and CTS where you do not need 2 data feeds, have DMA and are dedicated to futures traders entirely.
