Hi everyone. I am looking for a stock broker recommendation. I was looking at IB but because I am going to swing trade. With holding periods of a month or more i was not sure they are a good fit because of the monthly trading commission min / fee. Any recommendations. I have multicharts for a platform or can use their platform for execution. All my analysis will be done externally and just manually enter trades.
Obviously cheaper commissions is better. The account will have more than 10k so i should be able to hit all minimums.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I think you should just try to offset the IB fee with downgrading your cell phone plan or some other monthly savings. I just think it so outclasses the other retail options that you don't really have a choice.
I just started looking at TD Ameritrade to get TOS though. 10 bucks a trade is a joke but they have a few commission free ETFs that could be interesting.
Just an FYI - you can sign up for dough.com (tastytrade's easy option site), link it to your TDA account and get $7 per trade (stocks) and $1.50 per option contract from TOS. STILL too expensive, but it's better than the 'stock' pricing.
