Hello everybody
i just open an account with AMP and want try SC+CQG .
seems from what i'm reading that CQG is one of the best or the best to provide accurate data and submit orders .

previously i used CTS T4 as data feed for ICE and to execute orders

I'd like to receive feedback from AMP users , particularly from whom using SC with CQG
also if someone used CTS before to use CQG and can write the differences found
and if is using CQG and SC datafeed together

i tried to speak with some assistants but seemed they didn't understand the questions

someone here is trading Eurex with the above combo and is using sc data feed for eurex and only CQG from AMP to submit orders ?
i mean do i have to pay 23$ monthly for CQG Eurex ,though i don't want use it as datafeed ?

does AMP + CQG provide stable connection and accurate tick by tick intraday and historical intraday (tick) data ?

do you know how much historical intraday data is available?

thanks

I do not use cqg with Sierra, I use rithmic and ttnet .
But I used CQG for Multicharts and Ninja.

With AMP, CQG has Eurex included and I got 1 year historical tick by tick data.
CQG was not optimal with MC, so I switched to rithmic.

Rithmic has no historical tick data.

I use Sierra on rithmic and TTnet.

TTnet has up to 4 years historical tick data and eurex included as well as ICE UK

Rithmic has no historical tick data, but eurex is included, but no UK ICE.

Rithmic has no historical tick data.

Every broker does provide its privileges, but we do provide historical tick data with Rithmic W/Sierra.

Thats great you have the historical data with rithmic.

I thought it was a rithmic thing and did not realize that it was different with your firm.

thanks
Shane

Hi Shane

About Eurex do you know if can be used cqg only for routing orders and sierra as datafeed ?

I tried asking in chat with someone at AMP but seemed he didn't understand my request and told me calling support

Hi

I use TTnet and use Sierra data feed with it.
You must enable SC historical data in the data trade service settings.

I am not sure if the same can be done with CQG.

Do you want Sierra to be main feed, including live data ?
To be sure Sierra is your main feed, check with engineering at Sierra.

I have TTnet for live data and Sierra for all other historical data.
Maybe you want Sierra for live data as well as historical.

Mitch at Amp can help you. Go to live chat and request Mitch to help. He is excellent.

best regards

shane

Hi @crazybears,

did you find out whether it´s possible just to use cqg for orderouting and sierra as datafeed (including live feed)? Thanks.

Kind regards
Tellur

Hi Tellur

sorry to reply only now ,
I'm using SC data-feed and CQG to submit order , all works fine.
so far i have to pay both CQG and SC data-feed plus 10$ for FIX.
from 2015 additional cost for Sc datafeed are 3,25$ for top of the book or 15,75 for full DOM.
one can choose to use webapi and avoid 10$ of FIX but seems FIX works better and for only 10$
I still use FIX

glückliches neues jahr

CQG was not optimal with MC, so I switched to rithmic.

What lead you to think that? I've just started to use CQG/AMP with Multicharts and there is definitely a difference when I compare it to IQ-feed when using tick based charts. The time based charts seem to be identical. When I load up a range bar chart using CGQ there seems to be tiny gaps between the candles, which is something I don't get with IQ-feed when I compare.

Can anyone explain this?

I was under the impression that IQ has unfiltered tick data. That could be the difference. I think i is one of only a few data feeds that offer unfitered tick data.

Even though the CQG API is better in MC now, I always had issues with the CQG API locking up and having memory leak issues. Other users say that CQG is now working great with MC.

I still find that there is a substantial increase in memory usage when running MC with CQG.
It runs much leaner when I use just rithmic, so that is what I do.
