what's your access time to Rithmic servers?
I've got under 60 ms from central Europe when using Europe gateway.
Good job...It used to be 140 ms using standard Chicago gateway.

hi keen4snow,
how do you measure your time and is it possible to choose the gateway?
thanks!

On R-Trader, on the Recent Order Tab Window, within the Completed Order window, you have the ability to click on executed traders and clearly see the time it was received from you, when it was received by the exchange, etc
Look at the image I attached.

Hope this helps.

Hi

I'm based in Australia and have tried CQG (AMP), GAIN and Rithmic.
I have not tried TransACT.

I thought CQG would be better for me as they have a Sydney data center but I was wrong.

In terms of reliability and speed during busy times I would rank them 1. Rithmic 2. CQG 3. GAIN.

I am connected to the Rithmic Singapore server and so far it has been great and a pleasant change from GAIN's frequent downtime issues.

The only problem I have not solved is the 50 cents round trip routing fee for Rithmic compared to 20 cents for CQG or GAIN.

That adds up !!

hi hoolio - I want to verify whether you have access to different pricing for CQG. My understanding is that to every trade via CQG you need to add a 25 cents routing fee - works out as 50 cents round trip too.

Do you have different prices?

My understanding is CQG is 10cents routing per side and Rithmic is 25cents routing per side.

Your mileage may vary

Ok, thanks. It may be that your volume is higher so that your rate is lower, or you may have a better deal.

Guys - Can anyone provide an update on this thread ?
I am moving away from Interactive Brokers due to their outrageous margin requirements for both ES ($13,200) and NQ ($17,600).
I am going to go thru Optimus Futures and clear thru either CQG or Rhythmic thru their API.
I will not be using their data feeds, nor their trading platforms.
My set-up is Multicharts 14 for charting and placing trades; IQFeed.net as the data feed.
Any and all comments greatly appreciated.

Hi

As far as I understand Rithmic and CQG are not clearing houses, but data providers and they also have trading platforms.

Personally, I use Sierra Charts as trading platform and CQG as data provider.

I have never had any problem whatsoever with CQG date - I used them the last 3 years. I trade on low time frames 10 secs. up to 1:30 - 2:00 Min. So very fast and reliable data feed is of essence to me.

I have never treid Rithmic date feed but with CQG it is the human eye/brain that is the limitations not the data feed. The difference between Rithmic and CQG is that Rithmic are prices at 0,5 USD R/T where as CQG are priced at 0,1 USD R/T with a fee of 20, - USD/Month - There is no minimum amount attached to the CQG price.

Your choice depends on you trading style and number of contracts traded per month.

Hope it was a help otherwise please feel free to ask again.

Rithmic order routing fees are 0.10 USD per side per contract.
