I was surprised there wasn't a thread on OptionsXpress.

I was with them since Dec 2008. They had great customer service. Website was just OK. Commissions were reasonable.

Then Charles Schwab bought them. Their customer service is now horrible. You get a different answer depending on which person you talk to.

Their website has had glitches and they have given up trying to fix them. They charge more than exchange minimum margin on many futures.

They are requesting some forms be notarized to be filled out.

I am closing all of my accounts there and they are making it a pain in the butt to get them to wire money out. Been working on it for 7 days now.

Do Not trade there.

On the contrary I heard many good things, so I registered a demo account, and unfortunately found that it was very verbose process just to get the 'free' account'. In fact I had found they'd opened a live account, which then only allowed me to access the sim features. Then the tool itself was not as functionally rich / intuitive as for example TOS (ThinkOrSwim). I'm not currently using it either, but may reconsider that in the future if I start looking at Options business.
