Coming from forex I was reading up on emini futures. It really seems very appealing.
I have no idea where to start with this. What platform to chart on what broker to trade with. I would prefer if there is a demo broker where I can trade emini futures.

I'm coming from metatrader but I guess eminis are not available for metatrader since metatrader does not have real volume.

I did some basic reading on emini futures but if someone could provide an in depth article on it it would be very helpful

Thanks

The most popular emini is ES, the emini S&P 500 contract that trades on CME.
There are dozens of emini contracts though, covering the major stock indices and Commodities.

They have Emini and Emicro futures for most of the popular currency pairs, coming from Forex that might be a good place for you to start.

Then they have eminis on the SP500, Nasdaq, Russell, and DOW, and wide host of other products (metals, energies, etc.)

I know Interactive Brokers have paper trading accounts but they are only available after your production trading account has been approved and funded.

There are plenty, cannon trading, Optimus, mirrus, global futures, etc.

When you look for a broker check for the customer service, data, and then commissions. The first two will have a bigger impact over your trading then the commissions.

@moneydeep
When i came from forex using MT i started and i am still with AMP. You can have a free demoaccount with a free ninjatrader version. Itīs limited for four weeks, but i could make it longer a few times.

I use TDameritrade with the ToS platform. They have a paper account, but it's not real time until you fund your account.

Their feeds are close to real-time and it comes with the service. I'm not 100% sure how competitive their rates are though, but so far, I'm happy with the platform and service. Trades are $2 per contract plus fees. Round trip is $4 + fees.

Hope that helps.

If I were you I would start trading the emini Nasdaq futures rather than the emini S&P.

Nasdaq has more price ticks in the days range. The symbol is NQ. NQ chart patterns are closer to forex chart patterns than is the S&P
