At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

Ninjatrader IB and iqfeed

i've just start my iqfeed today. Thanks futures.io (formerly BMT), im using "better data"
im using ninjatrader7 and interactive brokers, The setup was correct, I connect iqfeed first then interactive brokers. Im trying to use iqfeed as data and interactive brokers as order service. Im a chart trader, i open couple charts and all look really good, data is faster and has more activities.
However i've experienced some really weird stuff. The data looks good but when i send my order, i always filled with different price, for example, the chart data shows @1120.0, im trying to long market, but it result i got filled @ 1121.7 or even worse, I don't have that problem when i was using CQG as my data, Im just wondering if i got setup wrong?

Make sure you are not receiving delayed data, maybe you don't have the right authorizations for the instrument you are trading from IQFeed.

You can email IQFeed support or ask @Robert Carrillo and they can help ASAP.

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

I am getting historical data gaps that I didn't have with Kinetick...
I pressed "Reload All Historical Data" on the chart in Ninja but no solution, still getting those gaps.
I also opened MultiCharts and getting the same issue on different dates... ?

@Robert Carrillo

@IQFeed James is the current futures.io (formerly BMT) rep. I assume you've checked session dates, and also that you aren't pulling historical data during RTH when it's limited by IQFeed?
