Just for fun I tried to connect to zenfire and it works fine right now... Connected instantly, and there is data and connection to my RCG account...
What gives?

Same here, Mirus/RCG account, it's 2AM EST and connection is established using ZenFire connection.

Since I haven't gotten an email from Mirus, I will assume that it is still not recommended to trade. Will wait until some sort of stability notice goes out.

Do not trade life via Zen-Fire.

As I tried before meltdown, I was not able to cancel orders.

Please be aware of this!

Just check this carefully.

Ray from @NinjaTrader has made it clear that the Continuum deal for NT (the one that does not need Kinetick) is NOT available to Dorman (nor Mirus for that matter) but is to RCG.

It was not an NT decison, but Ray said he is not at liberty to say who or why Dorman was excluded.

Unless of course this has all changed over the weekend.

You're correct on that.

In regards to the 'Dorman only' solution, I was referring to the (upcoming) option to have a Rithmic data feed if you choose to have your account with Dorman directly. I think we'll have to wait for more detailed information on that.

@DionysusToast

So if ones strategy did not rely on the depth and in fact only needed all actual trades transacted, how would you rank those 4 above?

Thanks for your view.

Funny thing is - this isn't really about the depth.

Depth is level 2.

Level 1 is trades, inside ask, inside bid. The inside ask/inside bid is needed to decide if a trade was initiated by a buyer or a seller.

So - this will effect anyone using:

My stuff
Cumulative Delta
Footprint Charts
Time & Sales
Other vendors order flow tools (probably)

Specifically, as you move through levels the feeds at the bottom will print trades on the wrong side. It's more of an issue with thinner markets as they are moving through levels more often.

Zen isn't bad at it but it is not perfect. CQG/IQFeed are much better at it.

any company offering something new isn't an option for me, even if it is something true and tried and teseted somewhere else, any new anything, like a new combination somewhere that didn't coexist before, isn't for me, so I don't care what anyone is trying to fix or set up or try out, or newly offerred, etc... not saying it won't work, but IT support or any support will be having to add and stretch and grow and become accustomed to the new thing they have to support, and I know how that goes, I've been there, I will avoid unhappy support personel if I can.

company a is now using feed b broker c is adding feed d fcm e is now acting like an ib feed f is now at fcm g broker h etc...
