I am also unable to connect. This has happened a couple of times on Friday nights. Maybe some kind of maintenance issue. Check back later...

Almost unbearable....

I checked with our support team and CQG operations and we do not have any issues reported outside of the norm. Please call the AMP support desk so they can assist you and troubleshoot your issue.

I have to ask myself what CQG considers "the norm". I have all the faith in the world in AMP and NinjaTrader.

I am losing faith in the CQG feed in conjunction with the above mentioned, however.

The problem appears to be the order side server at CQG... Data rarely falters. Also, I gave up the beta oco. I still get the drop outs however.

After speaking with AMP/CQG, it appears you are connecting to the internet via an iPhone/Verizon mobile connection. Are you able to source access to a standard ISP like a DSL or Cable connection? A stable, solid and dedicated broadband connection is a must for active trading and I think might go a long way to providing you connection stability.

I would like to know what type of internet connection people are using that are experiencing this problem.

My internet connection rarely drops.
I get "disconnected" from CQG / AMP / NT frequently and I am certainly not the only one.

I CAN guarantee you, however, that I will be the only idiot trading though an iPhone with this problem.

..now we need to address the other traders occurrences.

It's obviously my iPhone / Verizon connection.

If this ends up being a bunch of idiots tying to trade through iPhones, I'm going to feel like a fool.

I mean, more than I already do.

The more I think about this, the more I come to the realization that I simply do not have the
technical expertise to know what the hell is going on here.

So I am placing the blame squarely on a less than robust internet connection and moving on.
I will simply trade small positions, as I have been doing, to earn a living and wait until I can move into
an office with a proper connection to trade larger size.

Trying to blame anyone, when trading through an iPhone is ludicrous.
