I currently own a single broker license. I understood from the webinar that I could add FXCM to my license if I purchased before FXCM was offered on Ninja.

Is this correct ?

That is correct. Email support /at/ ninjatrader.com and they will add FXCM as an additional broker to your license, without cost and without you needing a multi-broker license.

I think there is a misunderstanding.

They confirmed that FXCM will pay for your NinjaTrader license. Naturally, that only applies if you are an FXCM customer and meeting their minimum funding requirement to do so. That is obviously very reasonable.

As for how to do a trial, I don't specifically remember covering that as part of the webinar so I can't comment. I've asked Ray from NinjaTrader to give us an answer.

Reasonable is relative. NT provides a trial of their full platform indefinitely until one goes live. I did purchase the license relatively quickly but guess I've been spoiled.

Mike I think the confusion may arise as there were several questions in the webinar (I watched the recording yesterday) that sought confirmation that you could demo forever and I guess those asking the question were meaning 'without funding an account' ie how can you demo forever if you can't get NT for FXCM without dropping $5k in an account and round turning $500k of gross contact value a month in live trades.

This is just my interpretation after having watched the recording only yesterday. I was not one of those who asked the question

Possibly would. Long time since I went through the licencing thing with NT. I think some of their rules around this changed since I get NT - but I saw your earlier post where you said you have asked Ray from NT to respond so hopefully that will clarify it all.

I am not sure if I understand your question, so let me clarify the NinjaTrader offering with FXCM. If you open or have a FXCM trading account and meet these two requirements, you will get NinjaTrader for free.

Requirements:

1. Open (or have an existing) FXCM account with at least $5,000 balance.

2. Trade at least 500K per month round-trip (open and close)

As long as these requirements are met, there will be no fee for NinjaTrader. Otherwise, there will be a $60 monthly fee deducted from the FXCM NinjaTrader account.

Once you are ready, you will need to fill out a Letter of Direction (LOD) to use NinjaTrader with FXCM. Please click the appropriate link to view the document:
