Brian Murphy, the Director of Business Development at CTS, will be monitoring this thread so that he may answer any questions that you post here relating to CTS products and services.

Please keep in mind that some customer service/technical support issues are best handled through proper channels at CTS.

CTS (Cunningham Trading Systems) is well known for their T4 trading product -- with its top tier data, unique DOM capabilities, extensive futures & options support, mobile based platforms and a well documented and supported API.

CTS T4 is widely used on the trading floor and well respected by professionals.

In addition to this thread, I will also be asking Brian Murphy to stop by on occasion for a casual webinar where he can answer questions via audio while also sharing his screen to visually demonstrate any points as needed. The date/time of those sessions will be announced here in this thread. These sessions will be limited to questions only, there is no prepared presentation. After the session ends, the recording will be posted in this thread.

You can find more on their website:
CTS | Cunningham Trading Systems

Feel free to ask any questions below and we'll do our best to get them answered.

The futures.io (formerly BMT) "AMA" (Ask Me Anything) series is by invitation only. It is part of a new program we are launching shortly called "Certified Trustworthy", something that has been months in the making. I will provide all the details of this new program as soon as it is ready for launch.

Mike

Excuse me if these are perhaps obvious questions but as I have no experience with T4 (yet) im quite interested in the following:
  1. Does T4 support non time based bar types ie: Range, Tick, Volume etc
  2. Does T4 support trading directly from the chart
  3. Does T4 support automatic stop loss and profit target strategies. Something along the lines of NinjaTraders ATM

Please could you also advise if any of the above is not available are there any plans to implement it and when.

Thanks, much appreciated.

I will let Brian answer naturally, but I also want to point out that CTS is more than just a charting or execution platform. It's also a data feed. You can use this data feed within Sierra Chart, for example, to give you some features not easily found elsewhere, such as server-side OCO's and a highly accurate data feed.

So in other words, yes you can use CTS T4 charting+DOM, or even your own charts (ie: NinjaTrader) with their DOM. But you can also use something like Sierra Chart, with CTS as your execution/feed and then there is no need to use T4 at all. There is a list of brokers that are supported on CTS's website. And I think if your broker is not listed, it is not too hard to get them to add CTS support, I've seen it happen before.

1. Yes we have tick range, total traded and trade.
2. Not at this time but it is in our near term plans.
3. We don't have any strategy management at this time. If you can give me some more detail on what you want we can explore adding the functionality. We have OCO orders and Auto OCO orders. You can view outr online wiki for more details. Welcome to the CTS [AUTOLINK]Wiki[/AUTOLINK] - CTS Wiki

For item 3, I think he is talking about trade management strategies, basically a way to pre-program automatic trailing stops.

Brian,

I know you have the autospreader due out around the start of next quarter, and I had a few questions.

1. Any idea on a price range yet?
2. Will it be ladder based, (like cqg or TT) or something different?
3. Any chance you can wet our whistle with a screenshot?
4. Will charting be updated to incorporate synthetic spreads? Also to chart the exchange traded spreads without the daily reversion to zero.

Thanks!

.

To be honest we have not determined a price for the autospreader. We will probably have a intro period where you can try it for free. I will send a screenshot when we get it into Beta. Yes, you will be able to chart custom spreads. I will know more about functionality when I get the Beta version.

Thanks Brian

Brian

Thanks for the feedback Brian,

Yes as per Big Mikes reply im talking about the ability to automate certain stop loss and profit target strategies, for example you could automate something like the following once i've entered the market with 5 contracts:
- set initial stop loss for all 5 contracts at -5ticks
- set 2 different profit targets, one at +5 ticks for 3 contracts, one at +10 ticks for the final 2 contracts
- When price moves 3 ticks in my favor, automatically move the stop to breakeven
- When price moves 7 ticks in my favor move the stop for the remaining position to breakeven+3

Something along those lines...

Thanks.
