Last post... there might be some brokers who will give you free data even without you placing trades, I am not sure of the exact requirements here. You can try contacting a few and see what they say, just tell them you will be on sim for a few months but need live data.

I assume you would be ok funding an account.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

Rithmic is not a data feed per se. It is an execution feed used by your broker, which happens to double as a data feed depending on your exact requirements. While your broker pays Rithmic to use their technology, and that means they are "charging you" technically in terms of commission costs to execute trades, there is no separate charge for Rithmic by itself.

Mike

Correct. Rithmic is not a registered data vendor, therefore it cant charge others for data only.

PM with any questions about optimusfutures (800) 771-6748 (561) 367 8686. THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL RISK OF LOSS IN FUTURES TRADING.

...@bnichols you mentioned a possible waver of exchange fees for qualifying brokers. I presume that wouldn't apply in my case since I wont be using a broker. I just want the data. Or am I misunderstanding you?...

As @Big Mike says IQFeed requires you confirm you have a funded account with a participating broker by allowing them to run an app periodically that chats with the broker client. You don't actually have to trade the account, just connect now and then (once a month).

Edited to add: As a matter of fact, while it doesn't apply to instruments with a centralized exchange (like stocks & futures), you probably don't want to trade spot Forex from a 3rd party feed because of the difference in prices quoted by the broker and the 3rd party feed.

Hi All,

I would like to subscribe to a live data feed for the CME's e-mini futures (M6E, M6B, etc) which I will be using with NinjaTrader. I am not looking to trade the instruments so I am not necessarily looking for a broker. I just need the live data feed.

What are the cheapest options available? The only thing im aware of is Kinetick which I believe comes in at $50 flat monthly fee + $30 for CME e-mini. So that would be $80 per month. It would then cost an additional $20 / month for market depth.

Any other cheaper options out there while still keeping good data quality?
Would it be cheaper to just sign up to a broker and get the data from them even though I wont be trading live?

Thanks.

Hi @DarkPoolTrading

The cheapest solution would be to sign up for a demo account at AMP with an CQG data feed. Itīs free and the data feed quality is excellent. The demo is valid for 21 days but after that, renewable. You can check it out here:Ninja Trader | Amp Global Clearing Hope this helps.

Perfect! Thanks very much ill definitely check this out. Do you know how you renew it after 21 days? Do you just fill out your details again on the online form?

Yes, you get one day before expiration an email from AMP to sign up for new demo account if you need more demo time. Have fun!

That is true. I have a live account with GlobalFutures.com and I have been using a Ninja demo with free data from CQG and GAIN for several months now. The demo only lasts 20 days so I just keep asking them for a new Ninja licence and for free data. I did not trade on the live futures account for a few months and that was fine.
