After having had accounts with several brokers reviewed here- AMP, Tradovate, Ninja, Optimus- I have to say that so far I've been most impressed with my experience at Stage 5.

Besides Optimus, which also has pretty great service, Stage 5 blew the other guys out of the water, for me at least, in terms of service. Having a specific broker assigned to you that you can call directly is not something you get with most of the others. My broker, Max, has been outstanding. When I send an email with questions, I more often than not get a phone call to discuss the answers, rather than the usual back and forth on email I was always used to.

Anyways, definitely worth giving Stage 5 a shot in my opinion, if you are unhappy with either the service or response time at your current broker.

If I am not wrong, Stage5 was started from scratch by ft71 amongst other people

Is currently Futurestrader71 working with them?

@Blaster666

He started the Stage5 brokerage with, if I remember correctly, somebody who used to work at Infinity Futures brokerage.
FT71 was a site sponsor on this forum for a long time but that ended recently (Mike closed the 'Ask Me Anything' thread that they had as those are for sponsors only. I think he is now concentrating his time on the brokerage, their chat rooms and the Convergent Trading website and trading education.

Edit:
Interestingly looking at their web page about themselves, https://stage5trading.com/about/ , FT71 isn't mentioned at all. I would of expected to see him with the other original founder Anthony Giacomin. The only mention is on the S5 Trade Analyser page where there is a testimonial from "FT71 - Professional Trader". May be he is just focused on Convergent now? Sorry, not an answer after all.

You do not win as a trader, you just get to play again the next day. If that game doesn’t appeal to you then you should not trade. Gary Norden

In the page above I can see that Stage5 does business in the name of other brokers: Sierra Futures, TradeFutures4less, etc ....

I wonder why a supposedly serious broker like Stage5 would be related to cheap and not reliable brokers like those ...

Some comment about this?

Those firms are just as reliable/serious as stage5 because they ARE stage5.

IMO, they likely created those firms as a way of creating tiered pricing. Where Stage5 is advertised as a more premium (expensive) service even though it’s exactly the same.

Hi Matthew,

Happy new year!

I want to make it clear that I'm not associated with Stage 5 Trading at all and have been for a while. I stopped working with Stage 5 Trading some time ago for many reasons. There is no relationship between Convergent and Stage 5 Trading. More details to follow.

I'm currently focused on continuing to build Convergent's specialized offering to online traders and on launching a new company that is awaiting regulatory approval. Looking forward to a year full of innovation, strong support for online traders and many successes.

I think I understand that S5 is futures only_ I looking for a broker with ETF for Europeans, as in US ETFs. Tradestation claimed they had. I am not so sure.

Anyway, I do have IB broker and can trade options on the dangerous and risky ETFs... *WTF????!

Can you get the trade analyzer from somewhere without using S5? I see bookmap can be bought for itself. Anyway, trade analyzer can too? I might not have looked good enough, but all I see on the S5 site is free with subscription and free demo. I didn't push any button tho...

Dear @Adolpho911

Thank you for asking about the S5 Trade Analyzer and asking about the products Stage 5 Trading offers. Your interest in Exchange traded funds speaks to your desire to isolate certain trading themes as well as manage risk by trading smaller share size.

At Stage Five, we have access to micro contracts that give you similar abilities but also provide access to trade 23 hours a day five days a week. ETFs do not have the same access. Additionally, you can use the S5 Trade Analyzer to keep track of how you trade the micros and adapt your strategy accordingly.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to serving you.

For an example of the S5 Trade Analyzer please see the video on the following link. https://stage5trading.com/s5-trade-analyzer-instructions/#video-instructions

Risk Disclaimer: Trading Futures, Options on Futures, and retail off-exchange foreign currency transactions involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Past Performance is not indicative of future results.

Anthony Giacomin vs Morad Askar, lawsuit filed last year. Morad posted in another thread this week that he filled for a dismissal last month.

We can infer a few things from this lawsuit, at the least that there was a falling out between Anthony and Morad.

I've personally always had nothing but good things to say about Anthony, and have always heard good things from his brokerage clients. Same could be said about Morad. So I honestly don't know what exactly happened between Anthony and Morad.

I do know that Morad has started a new brokerage, one where he is full owner, called Edge Clear. He presumably made himself full owner of this new firm to avoid whatever happened between him and Anthony at Stage 5.

I've started a new broker thread for Edge Clear below:
